Background Information
The Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) was established in 1965 by an Act of Parliament (Chapter 256 Laws of Kenya) as a voluntary aid Society, auxiliary to the national and county governments. KRCS was appointed by the Kenya Country Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) as the Civil Society Principal Recipient (PR) to manage the Global Fund HIV grant under the New Funding Model three (NFM3) for the period July 2021 to June 2024.
KRCS is seeking proposals from eligible organizations to be sub granted to implement priority components in selected target counties as Sub Recipients (SRs). Eligible organization
Eligible organizations includes NGOs and CSOs that are non-profit organizations and operate independently from the state and from the private for profit sector. These include international, national and local NGOs, community-based organizations (CBOs), faith-based organization (FBOs), patient-based organizations and professional associations; interested in implementing the Global Fund HIV grant to apply as sub-recipients under the KRCS GF Program to implement priority components in selected Counties in Kenya.
Scope of work
The successful applicants will be required to support implementation of community HIV interventions in their proposed areas/counties of operation as detailed in the application documents
Instructions to Bidders
Interested applicants or their representatives should attend an online pre- bidding session on Thursday, June 17th 2021 at 10.00 a.m. to familiarize with the scope of the tender. Bidders are required to register with their details to tenders@redcross.or.ke and thereafter, a zoom link will be shared after which they will be guided on the scope of the tender. In case of any queries, please send all correspondence by email to tenders@redcross.or.ke on or before Friday, 25th June 2021. Queries and Responses on the tender will be shared on Kenya Red Cross Society Website on or before Thursday, 1st July 2021.
Submission Guidelines
Interested applicants should download the detailed Expression of Interest (EOl) document, the technical and financial proposal format and the evaluation criteria from the KRCS website https://www.redcross.or.ke/Tenders
Bidders are advised to regularly visit the KRCS website to obtain additional information/addendum on the tender.
All those tenderers who download the document will be required to send a mail to tenders@redcross.or.ke for the purpose of receiving any amendments, meeting links or additional information.
The technical proposal MUST be prepared in conformance to outline provided in the Technical Proposal Format while the financial proposal shall conform to the template provided as the financial format.
Separate Technical and Financial proposals, properly completed and labelled enclosed in one outer envelope shall be delivered to the address below on or before 11:00 AM on Thursday, 8th July 2021. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids shall be rejected.
All applications should be enclosed in a plain envelope and shall be marked with the respective EOI No. and Type of Implementer addressed to the address below.
