The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation, established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979. Its mandate is to conduct research in human health.
The Government of Kenya (GoK) intends to establish a facility for the local production of Human vaccines in order to strengthen prevention of immunizable diseases including COVID-19. To achieve this objective, GoK desires to recruit a consultant in design, drawing and cost estimation of a vaccine manufacturing facility.
KEMRI invites interested and eligible tenderers for the tender as indicated below;

Interested eligible and qualified tenderers with relevant experience in similar undertakings are invited to submit their bids. The tender documents may be obtained from the procurement department, KEMRI, headquarters off, Mbagathi way, R O. Box 54840 – 00200 Nairobi during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh. 1,000.00 per set of documents to be deposited in:

so as to reach not later than Thursday 18th November, 2021 at 10.00am East African time. Interested bidders or their representatives are invited to witness the opening of the bids, to be held at the, Conference Hall, at KEMRI Headquarters on the same day at 10.30 am East African time.
KEMRI may terminate the procurement proceedings prior to entering into a contract and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders, without being bound to give reasons for its decision or incurring any liability. The Institute is also not obligated to award to the firm that offers the lowest price.
