Capacity Building Support for Gender Mainstreaming through Training of Trainers under Promotion of Climate Friendly Cooking in Kenya
The project “Promotion of Climate-Friendly Cooking: Kenya and Senegal” (GCF/EnDev), implemented by GIZ, Ministry of Energy-and other implementing partners, commenced in March 2020 and will run until December 2024. The project objective is to accelerate the growth of the Improved Cookstoves (ICS) sector with an irreversible market transformation that will significantly increase the level of ICS production and sales, thereby enabling Kenya to significantly advance the achievement of Kenya climate goals relating to cooking energy.
This project aims to strengthen staff and partners capacity to support gender mainstreaming at the project implementation level, and further through Training of Trainers (ToTs). The key objectives of this task is to identify the key topics on which to conduct training and/or sensitization for staff, partners and/or LMEs on gender mainstreaming, based on the various GIZ, EU, OECD and GCF gender policies and frameworks and gender action plans (GAPs); develop Gender toolkit and training manuals in line with the GIZ strategy and tools, and roll-out the trainings to the four target clusters in which the project is currently operating. The consultancy will be conducted in consultation with the GCF team in developing the training manuals and providing trainings to the selected ToTs.
