Background
The project “Promotion of Climate-Friendly Cooking: Kenya and Senegal” (GCF/EnDev), implemented by GIZ, Ministry of Energy and other implementing partners, commenced in March 2020 and will run until December 2024. The project objective is to accelerate the growth of the Improved Cookstoves (ICS) sector with an irreversible market transformation that will significantly increase the level of ICS production and sales, thereby enabling Kenya to significantly advance the achievement of Kenya climate goals relating to cooking energy.
The project supports ICS market development focusing on supply side (professionalisation, mechanisation, quality assurance and business development support, access to finance and distribution channels), demand side (awareness creation and behavioural change communication/campaigns) and facilitating a supportive enabling environment.
The project aims to build capacity of ICS entrepreneurs on business development, through Training of Trainers (ToTs), who will replicate the project’s training components and enhance the entrepreneurs’ skills and knowledge. In this regard, GIZ is seeking a service provider to conduct business trainings needs assessment that will advise on the specific contents of the training curriculum to be developed.
Call for bids from potential firms/companies
GIZ is calling for firms/companies to tender their bids to conduct a business training needs assessment.
Interested firms/companies must provide verifiable proof of qualifications and experience. The firm/company is requested to review the indicated qualifications in Terms of Reference (ToRs).

Interested firms/companies should send a blank email with tender reference: 83398641 in the subject line to KE_lnquiry@giz.de between 17.01.2022 to 20.01.2022. An email response will provide the ToRs and relevant tender documents with further information on 21.01.2022, thereafter no tender documents will be shared.
If interested, please submit your complete Financial & Technical proposals together in separate SEALED ENVELOPE clearly marked TENDER NO: 83398641. Failure to address correctly will lead to automatic disqualification.
