REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF WATERFUND’S INTEGRATED INFORMATION SYSTEM |
Water Sector Trust Fund (WaterFund) is the Kenyan State Corporation mandated to finance water and sanita-tion services for the poor and underserved communities in rural and urban areas. In the Water Act, 2016, the mandate of the WaterFund is to provide conditional and unconditional grants to the Counties and to assist in financing the development of and management of water services in the rural and urban marginalised and underserved areas.
The WaterFund has planned to develop an integrated information system to further strengthen its capacity to effectively and efficiently plan and implement programmes. This will include project management, work plan tracking, monitoring and evaluation of projects as well as various office automation modules. In order to augment its capacity and ensure realisation of the proposed system within the specified timelines and quality metrics, the WaterFund invites proposals from professional software development companies for the system development.
Interested firms may download a complete set of tender documents comprising the Request for Proposals (RFP) that has the terms of reference and application procedure, and the System Requirements Specification (SRS) document from https://waterfund.go.ke/downloads/proposals.
WaterFund currently uses SharePoint Online. For compatibility, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability, we prefer that the proposed system be developed on this platform.
As per the submission guidelines in the RFP document, the technical proposals should be prepared in three copies (1 original and 2 copies). The financial proposal should be prepared and sealed in the same numbers in a separate envelope. Both the Technical and Financial proposals should be put in a sealed envelope marked
