TENDER NO. ITB/WP/02/13/2020 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 18,000M³ WATER PAN IN KILTAMANY VILLAGE IN WAMBA WEST WARD, SAMBURU EAST SUB-COUNTY IN SAMBURU COUNTY
Feed the Children works in both urban and rural settings throughout four counties, Turkana, Sambura, Kiambu, and Kajiado. We implement activities in all four areas of our Child-Focused Community Development (CFCD) program areas. This includes meeting immediate and long-term needs of caregivers and their children in areas of food and nutrition, health and water, education, and livelihoods. We use this programmatic approach to meet the needs of each individual community we serve.
Feed the Children in Kenya invites sealed Tenders from eligible contractors who should meet the following minimum conditions (Mandatory):
- Registered with NCA 7 Water Works and above
- Evidence of past experience in similar works of same nature and complexity in the last three years
- Have certificate of Incorporation as a company
- Must submit CR12 from Registrar of Companies to show list of directors
- Must submit audited accounts for the last three years
- Copies of valid tax compliance, VAT and PIN certificates.
- Valid business permit
- Adequate plant and equipment, professional and technical staff.
SCOPE OF THE WORKS
The works involves but not limited to the following:
- General clearing of reservoir area;
- Excavation for Reservoir for a 18,000M³ water pan;
iii. Excavation of inlet channel and silt trap;
- Forming and compaction of Embankments;
- Excavation of spillway; Construction of draw off facility;
- Construction of Cattle troughs (1. no);
vii. Construct shallow well and Installation of an Afridev hand pump;
viii. Construction of Communal water point (1 no.);
- Construct 2 no. sanitation blocks each with standard VIP Latrine and bathroom;
- Fencing the Pan.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the form of a bank guarantee from a reputable bank or from an approved insurance company and must be delivered with the Tender Documents. All bids, including Appendices and all supporting documents, must be submitted within the Tender timetable set out above; in a plain, sealed envelope marked only with the tender name and tender reference and dropped at Feed the Children reception at the following address;

To be received on or before Tuesday 17th March 2020 at 12 noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late submission of bids will be rejected. Prices quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and shall remain valid for 120 days from the closing date of the tender. Feed the Children reserves the right to accept or reject any TENDER documents without giving any reasons thereof.
