INVITATION TO TENDER                            

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING

CONSTRUCTION WORKS FOR EXTENSION OF KOSICH-EMBOBUT WATER SUPPLY PROJECT IN ELGEYO MARAKWET COUNTY (PHASE II)

1. The Government of Kenya through Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation has allocated funds to North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA) for procurement of works contractors towards extension of water services for Kosich-Embobut Phase II

2. The North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders registered in Category NCA 6 (Water Works) and above by the National Construction Authority for the Extension of water services for Kosich-Embobut Phase II Program (“the Works”) as follows:

3. The following are mandatory requirements that must be submitted together with the Bid document:
   • Certified Copy of registration in Category NCA 6 or above, by the National Construction Authority
   • Certified copy of certificate of Incorporation and a valid Tax Compliance Certificate
   • Curriculum vitae (CVs) of the proposed staff duly signed by the proposed individual
   • Client references on previous experience
   • Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years Further information will be in the bidding
4. A Pre-Tender Site meeting and Site visit will be conducted on Tuesday 5th July, 2022 starting at 00am. All bidders are requested to assemble at St. Michael Secondary School Embobut, in Elegeyo-Marakwet County (Marakwet East Constituency).

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from North Rift Valley Water Works Develop- ment Agency, Chief Executive Officer, via email info@nrvwwda.go.ke or procurement@nrvwwda.go.ke 

6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be downloaded from NRVWWDA website nrvwwda.go.ke, and www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Bidders who download the bidding document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@nrvwwda. go.ke, for records and any further clarifications and addenda.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of an unconditional Bank guarantee valued at

KShs. 200,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only). 

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before the dates specified in the table Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of all bidders’ designated representatives with ONLY ONE REPRESENTATIVE ALLOWED PER BIDDER to attend the bid opening. Opening of bids will be in line with the PPRA Guidelines as stipulated in the circular no. 02/2020 which can be accessed from their website www.ppra.go.ke
