TANA WATER WORKS DEVELOPMENT AGENCY TENDER 2020 

1. Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA), a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water. Sanita­tion and Irrigation invites applications for the Tenders described below from interested and eligible bidders for the following Construction Works:

Eligible bidders may obtain hard copies of the tender documents from TWWDA during normal working hours (Monday to Friday (8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.) upon payment of a Non Refundable fee of Kshs. 1000/-, Payable either through Account Name: TWWDA and Account No.1101998733 or Mpesa Paybill No 221599 and Account No: Name of the bidder.
3. A summarized part of tender document together with the BOQ (VOL VI). Having been filled and attached with all the required documents (as indicated) shall be submitted by all interested bidders. Volumes I to V as explained in the form of Agreement (VOL V) shall be uploaded on TWWDA website for reference ONLY but the contents thereto shall be binding. Hard-copies of contents in Volumes I to V need not be attached to the final TENDER DOCUMENT at the time of submission unless where any copy is necessary from the bidder’s viewpoint
4. Soft copies of a complete set of the tender documents, containing all the requirements may be forwarded to any interested bidder/s’ official email inbox free of charge upon formal request in writing.
5. Relevant documents can also be downloaded from the TWWDA website www.tanawwda.go.ke or from the Public Procurement Information portal (PPIP): www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Those who down load the documents and intend to submit them are required to give their official business contacts to Tina Water Works Development Agency via email for purposes of receiving further clarifications/or addenda if need arises.
6. There will be MANDATORY Pre-tender site visits as described in each of the tender documents (Tender Data Sheet). All eligible bidders are advised to strictly observe the set times/dates.
7. Applications for tenders must be submitted enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with the tender name and reference number and deposited in the tender box located on the ground floor.

 Maji House. Baden Powell Road, ad­dressed to the Chief Executive Officer, so as to be received on or before Wednesday. 12nd August 2020 at 10.00am.

8. Candidates who wish to attend and witness the receiving and subsequent opening of the bids (after 7 days) are hereby requested to make formal application at least seven (7) working days before the indicated dead line for submission Only ten (10) representatives from the interested bidders shall witness the receiving and sealing of the documents.
9. The Bids upon receipt SHALL be sealed in the presence of the interested bidders, treated and quarantined for seven (7) days to be opened on Thursday 20th August 2020 n the presence of the interested bidders who witnessed the sealing.
10. Any bid/s received after the set submission deadline (12th August 2020 at 10.00 a.m.) will be rejected.
11. NB: Any bidder/s who may be interested in viewing the events as they happen during the opening of the bids can do so by visiting our website at www.tanawwda.go.ke where a live recording of the tenders opening event will be posted.
