COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF WEST POKOT TENDER 2020 

INVITATION FOR BIDS

KENYA URBAN SUPPORTPROGRAMME [KUSP]

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Kenya Urban Support Programme [KUSP), [being implemented by the County Government of West Pokot, hereafter referred to as the Employer] and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contracts indicated below.

  1. The County Government of West Pokot now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to apply for the following Tenders.

  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures but will in all respects comply with the World Bank’s Procurement Guidelines for procurement of Goods, works and Non -consulting services [January 2011 Edition] and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the procurement Guidelines in addition , please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the world bank’s policy on conflict of interest
  2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from the address below during officer hours 0800hrs -1700hrs Monday to Friday, exclusive of holidays.
  3. A complete set of bidding documents in English shall be obtained from the County website www.westpokot.go.ke or www.kapenguriamunicipality.co.ke free of charge. No arrangements have been made for other methods of delivery of bidding documents.
  4. Bids [clearly marked with the tender number and name and no other markings must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday 13th August, 2020 at 11:00am. Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids appropriately addressed will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders or the bidder’s representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below indicated below.
  5. There will be a Pre-tender site visit on Tuesday 4th August, 2020 from 10:00am. All interested bidders should assemble at Ardhi House Boardroom from 9:00am.
  6. All bids must be accompanied by Bid Security as indicated above from a reputable bank, financial institution or an insurance company approved by Public Procurement Regulatory Authority.
