INVITATION TO TENDER 
TENDER FOR PROVISION OF INSURANCE BROKERAGE SERVICES FOR THE YEAR 2022-2024

Karatina University invites sealed tenders for provision of insurance brokerage services for the year 2022-2023
&2023-2024
1. Tendering will be conducted under open national competitive method using a standardized tender
document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 0900 to 1700hrs at the address given below.
3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
payment of a non- refundable fees of Kshs. 1,000 payable in cash or bankers cheque payable to
the address given below. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Website
www.karu.ac.ke or Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP) supplier portal
(http://www.tenders.go.ke/website/tenders/index. Tender documents obtained electronically
will be free of charge.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.karu.ac.ke
Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately
to procurement@karu.ac.ke , 0729721200 and P.O BOX 1957-10101 to facilitate any further
clarification or addendum
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of Kshs 50,000 from a financial institution
recognized by Central Bank of Kenya or approved by PPRA valid for a period of 150 days from
the date of tender opening.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted in the
sequence of 1,2,3…. n(n being the last numerical page of the tender document)
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before

14th September, 2022 at11:00 am East African Time. Electronic Tenders WILL NOT be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead
line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.
