INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR PROVISION OF GROUP MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER (GMIC)
1. The Kenya Forest Service invites sealed tenders for the provision of Group Medical
Insurance cover (both inpatient and outpatient) for its Board of Directors, staff and their
dependants. The cover will be for a period of one year. Starting from 12
th November 2022 to
11
th November 2023, renewable for another one-year period subject to annual satisfactory
performance review.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized
tender document and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours Monday – to Friday between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm except for
public holidays at the address given below:

4. Tender documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the KFS website
www.kenyaforestservice.org or from the public procurement portal; www.tenders.go.ke
free of charge. Those who download the tender document and intend to submit a bid are
required to submit their particulars immediately to the Supply Chain Department’s Office
for records and for the purpose of receiving any further tender clarifications and/or
addendums.
5. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders
upon payment of a non- refundable fees of KES 1,000 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and
payable to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Kenya Forest Service. Tender documents
obtained electronically will be free of charge.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kshs. 5,000,000
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Friday, 30th
September 2022. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
