INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR PROVISION OF COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE COVER FOR COUNTY MOTOR VEHICLES
TENDER NO. CGK/FIN/INS/2022-2023/002
1. The County Government of Kisumu invites sealed tenders for the provision of
Comprehensive Motor Vehicle Insurance Services for its motor vehicles, motor cycles and
equipment both located at the County Headquarters and Sub County offices for a period of
1-year renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
2. Tendering will be conducted under Open Tender Method (National) using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. The tender is open to all insurance underwriters only.
4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours from 0800 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the Public Procurement
Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke, the Kisumu County Government’s website:
www.kisumu.go.ke and/or IFMIS Portal https://supplier.treasury.go.ke. Tenderers who
download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
procurementcgk@gmail.com to facilitate any further clarification or addendum. Tenders
must be submitted both manually and electronically at the address given below.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of Kenya Shillings Four Hundred
Thousand Only (Kshs. 400,000.00) in any of the following forms; a bank guarantee from a
reputable bank listed by the Central Bank of Kenya; a guarantee by an insurance company
registered and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public
Procurement Regulatory Authority. An original copy of the tender security should reach the
office of Director Supply Chain Management before the 11th October 2022 at 12.00 noon.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 11th October 2022 at
12.00 noon. Electronic Tenders will be permitted.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
