COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT OF GRASSROOTS AWARENESS CREATION NETWORKS UNDER THE GCF PROJECT: PROMOTION OF CLIMATE FRIENDLY COOKING IN KENYA
Opportunity
GIZ Kenya in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy & Petroleum (MoEP), through the Directorate of Renewable Energy, and other partners are implementing the GCF project: Promotion of Climate Friendly. Cooking in Kenya. The project developed a Behaviour Change Communication Strategy for promoting clean cooking in Kenya. The strategy was launched by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in July 2022 and has been instrumental in guiding awareness both national and grassroots awareness raising activities in the country.
In the implementation of the grassroots awareness creation on clean cooking, the GCF project is working with other organized community-based organizations established by GIZ referred to as networks (mainly women groups, youth groups, Faith based organizations. Self-help groups: women, youth, Social enterprise organizations, Community health volunteers and private enterprises – with an existing regional network) present at the grassroots level across the four clusters. The clusters include Lake Victoria, Central, Lower Eastern and Lake Victoria.
Call for Bids
To coordinate the activities of these networks, GIZ is seeking the services of agencies to primarily coordinate and manage the awareness raising activities of these networks but also to implement these activities as well across the four clusters. The clusters have been grouped into four lots as follows:

4 | Western | Busia, Vihiga, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Baringo and Elgeyo Marakwet counties |
The bidder will be required to demonstrate capacity to conduct grassroots awareness raising activities by itself or via a well identified network of organized local groups present in the respective counties. The networks must be well known to the bidder, primarily having collaborated on similar assignments in the past or in the present. The bidder/networks must demonstrate clearly a community presence in the counties, with a dedicated membership that will be dedicated to these activities. The networks must also demonstrate experience in conducting community-based and social marketing campaigns.

Kindly submit your complete scanned technical and financial proposal in PDF format in two separate emails. The Lot and tender number should be clearly indicated on the email subject to KE_Inquiry@giz.de
Kindly note, bids with a volume of more than 30 MB cannot be sent via e-mail. If your bid exceeds this volume, we request you to share it via Filetransfer (marked with following text: (Contract Number and the lot) and send an e-mail to KE_Inquiry@giz.dewith the password.
Please note, For security reason, only bids sent via Filetransfer will be accepted. Bids sent via other Data sharing tools or links to external locations like Google Drive or Dropbox will be rejected.

Failure to address correctly will lead to automatic disqualification.
