INVITATION TO TENDER

CONTRACT NAME AND DESCRIPTION: RFX No. 1000000921 

1. The Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation invites tenders for Completion of
Proposed Storage Facilities and Offices in Kisumu and Mariakani Regional Offices.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers registered as Building Works and Electrical
Contractor.
Tenderers will be allowed to tender for more than one lot but shall only be awarded one lot.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
during office hours 8.00am – 12.45pm to 1.45pm-4.00pm Monday to Friday in Rural Electrification and
Renewable Energy Corporation Offices situated in Kawi Complex, Block C, Ground floor.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be viewed and downloaded by interested tenderers free of
charge electronically from the Website www.rerec.co.ke under tender documents or through the e-procurement
portal using https://suppliers.rea.co.ke:44300/irj/portal
Tenderers who are not yet registered with REREC must register their companies in order to participate in

5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.rerec.co.ke Tenderers
who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to tenders@rerec.co.ke
to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 196
days from the date of opening of tenders.

9. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
10. Completed tenders must be delivered to Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation electronically

11. Only Electronic Tenders will be permitted.
12. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line
date and times specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
13. Any addendum to this tender shall be uploaded to the Corporation’s website www.rerec.co.ke under
tender documents.
14. Late tenders will be rejected.
