PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND REQUEST FOR COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT STANDARDS (IMPORT CARGO CONSOLIDATION) REGULATIONS 2023
The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) is a statutory body established under the Standards Act, Cap 496, Laws of Kenya. KEBS is mandated to provide Standardization and Conformity Assessment Services through; promotion of standardization in commerce and industry, provision of testing and calibration facilities, product and system certification, undertaking educational work in standardization and practical application of standards and maintenance and dissemination of international system on units (SI) of measurements.
KEBS wishes to inform the public, importers and consolidators that THE DRAFT STANDARDS (IMPORT CARGO CONSOLIDATION) REGULATIONS 2023 has been developed and is currently hosted on the Kenya Bureau of Standards website (www.kebs.org).
In order to ensure wide consultation and public particiapation as stipulated in the Constitution of Kenya 2010, Kenya Bureau of Standards invites institutions, organizations, individuals and the public to submit their views and comments on the proposed Regulation.
The views and the comments should be addressed in writing to: The Managing Director, Kenya Bureau of Standards, P.O Box 54974-00200 Nairobi or emailed to stakeholder@kebs.org to be received on or before 5th May 2023 to facilitate the review and finalization of the Regulations.
Further members of the public and stakeholders are invited to attend consultations as per the schedule
