CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS 2023 – TCG

TURKANA COUNTY GOVERNMENT TENDER JUNE 2023 

1. Turkana County Government invites sealed bids from interested eligible bidders for the under listed tenders.

2. The County Government of Turkana has received financing from the German Development Bank [KfW] towards the cost of the Drought Resilience Programme in Northern Kenya [DRPNK] and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
3. The consulting services [“the Services”] include: providing expertise towards undertaking all relevant technical studies, field investigations, detailed designs, tender documents preparation, Environmental Social Impact Assessments [ESIAs] and construction supervision of the designed, infrastructures for rehabilitation of irrigation schemes along the river, water pan, spate irrigation, hay shed and feed store for identified areas in Turkana County.

5. The County Government of Turkana now invites eligible consulting firm[s] (“Consultants”] to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:
6. Core business as a consulting firm in the water sector within at least five [5] years. Have relevant experience in undertaking feasibility studies, detailed designs, and supervision of water related facilities/ infrastructure:

Demonstration by consulting firm of having been involved in successful execution, completed and /or ongoing, of at least two [2] assignment of similar nature both in scope and complexity in similar operating environment in the last five [5] years with preferably one [1] assignment, completed or ongoing in an informal settlement [rural or peri – urban] or similar environment in the last five [5] years.
