ANNUAL CALENDER FOR PRE-SUBMISSION CONFERENCES (2023/2024 FY)
The Engineers Board of Kenya requires Graduate Engineers with at least three years’ experience to attend a
mandatory pre-submission conference. This prepares the Graduate Engineers for the Professional Examination
administered by the Board to assess professional competency prior to registration.
APPLICATION FOR PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION – REQUIREMENTS
As per the requirements of the Engineers Act, 2011 and Engineers Rule, 2022: a person applying for registration
as a Professional Engineer should: –
i. Have attained a minimum of three years’ experience post-registration as a Graduate Engineer.
ii. Apply for registration in the prescribed format (Application forms may be downloaded from the Engineers
Board of Kenya (EBK) website: www.ebk.go.ke)
iii. Submit Part I and Part II of the Professional Examination Reports.
iv. Have attended a pre-submission conference in the engineering discipline for which they are applying for
registration (Attach a certificate of attendance to the application documents).

The Annual Calendar for the pre-submission conferences for 2023/2024 FY is as tabulated below

The public is advised to seek professional services from Professional Engineers in good standing with the Board.
The list of Professional Engineers, Consulting Engineers, Engineering Consulting Firms and Temporary Engineers in
good standing is available on the Board’s website at www.ebk.go.ke.
