Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) is a business member organization for manufacturing and value-add industries in Kenya. Established in 1959, KAM provides an essential link for co-operation, dialogue and understanding with the government and other key stakeholders by representing its members’ views and concerns through fact-based policy advocacy.
The Association partnered with IDH (The Sustainable Trade Initiative) to mainstream sustainability for competitiveness in the Textiles and Apparels Sector.
In line with this, KAM seeks to engage a Sustainability Expert to:
- a)Carry out sustainability capacity building needs assessment/gaps for public and private sector representatives.
- b)Develop a capacity building module on Sustainable Textile and Apparel Sector.
- c)Facilitate a capacity building workshop for public and private sector representatives relevant to Textiles and Apparel sector.
- d)Design and prepare relevant training materials for the capacity building exercise.
- e)Prepare a post-capacity building report.
