SKILLS OF YOUTH IN KENYA THROUGH SANITATION TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER

PROCUREMENT OF WORKS

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies
towards the cost of Improving Public Health and Enhancing Technical Skills of Youth in Kenya through
Sanitation Technology Transfer. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this grant will be applied to eligible
payments under the contract for Construction of Green Toilet System(GTS) in Tharaka Nithi and Kajiado
County & Workshop in Chiakariga, Tharaka Nithi County.
2. The Kenya water Institute now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the execution of the Construction
of Green Toilet System(GTS) in Tharaka Nithi and Kajiado County & Workshop in Chiakariga,
Tharaka Nithi County.
3. A Prebid meeting and Site Visit for GTS and workshop will take place on 26th and 27th September, 2023
in Kajiado and Chiakariga respectively starting at 10:00am (East African Time). The venue for the Pre-Bid
site visit meeting will be at Arap Moi Primary school Rongai in Kajiado for GTS and Kenya Water Institute
Chiakariga Campus in Tharaka Nithi County for GTS and Workshop.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the
office of The Director, Kenya Water Institute(KEWI), Nairobi south C along Oleshapara avenue.

week days except public holidays.
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a
written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings
