THE NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL INCLUSIVE GROWTH PROJECT (NARIGP)
| INVITATION FOR BIDS |
- The National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project [NARIGP) is a Government of Kenya initiative funded by World Bank/ International Development Association [IDA]. The project development objective (PDO) is “to increase agricultural productivity and profitability of targeted rural communities in selected Counties.” As one of the implementing Counties, the Government of Makueni County hereby invites interested and eligible bidders for works described hereafter.
- Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding [NCB] procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011; Revised July 2014) [“Procurement guidelines”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s Policy on conflict of interest.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project Procurement Office in the department of Agriculture Irrigation Livestock Fisheries and Cooperatives Development situated at MAP offices, Wote Technical road Wote Makueni from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm
- The bidding documents may be downloaded free of charge from the County website: www.makueni.go.ke Bidders who download the bidding document are requested to inform the Procuring Entity and fully provide their contact details. This will be used in the event of a need to communicate to all the interested bidders.

The duly completed bids should be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with Tender Number and Tender Name and deposited in the tender box situated Makueni NARIGP offices (MAP) at the county headquarters and be addressed to:

So as to be received on or before Thursday 25th October, 2023 at 10.00 a.m.
Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter at Makueni County NARIGP offices (MAP) in the presence of firms’ representatives who choose to attend. A pre- tender site visit to be done on Wednesday 11th October 2023 at 10.G0a.m from West Ngosini market to Ngosini water pan site in Kikumini Muvau Ward Makueni sub county.
