INVITATION TO TENDER
Supply and Delivery of Mechanical Items, Hand tools and Equipment
4. Kisumu Water and Sanitation Company Limited (KIWASCO) invites sealed tenders for the Supply and
Delivery of Mechanical Items, Hand tools and Equipment. The supplies will be made to KIWASCO main
stores at Kibuye Reservoirs, Tom Mboya Estate in Kisumu City. This will be a contract for one (1) year.
5. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National open tender) using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
6. This Tender is open to all and is not subject to reservation.
7. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information during office hours i.e from 0800 hours
to 1700 hours at the Supply Chain office at the address given below.

8. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically from KIWASCO Website
www.kiwasco.co.ke or Public Procurement Information Portal’s website https://tenders.go.ke free of
charge.
9. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.kiwasco.co ke or
Public Procurement Information Portal’s website https://tenders.go.ke free of charge. Tenderers who
download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to e mail:
procurement@kiwasco.co.ke, and the same address as above for registration purposes. Bidders are
advised to visit the website regularly to check any additional information, clarifications or addenda.
10. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security (bid bond) of Kenya Shillings One Hundred
Thousand only (Kshs. 100,000.00) in the form of banker’s cheque, bank guarantee or Insurance guarantee
from a reputable insurance firm and in the format attached.
11. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize, sign and stamp all pages of the tender documents submitted
in the format 1,2,3,4………n (where n will be the last numerical page)
12. Completed tenders, in sealed envelopes, and marked with tender name and tender numbers, must be
delivered to the address below on or before Tuesday, the 17th day of October 2023 at 12.00 noon.
Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
13. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date
and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
14. Late tenders will be rejected.
