INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER DOCUMENT FOR THE PROPOSED COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION OF 2NO. HOSTEL AT TURKANA UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
TENDER NUMBER: TUC/PROC/5/08/2023-2024.
1. Turkana University College (TUC) invites sealed tender document for the proposed completion of construction of 2NO. Hostel
at Turkana University College.
2. Tendering will be conducted under national open competitive method using a standardized tender document. Tendering is
open to all eligible, qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment of a non- refundable
fees of one thousand (1,000) in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given below. Tender documents may be
obtained electronically from the Website(s)(www.tuc.ac.ke) or (https://www.tenders.go.ke). Tender documents obtained
electronically will be free of charge.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.tuc.ac.ke. Tenderers who download the
tender document must forward their particulars immediately to the Procurement Officer, Turkana University College, P.O. Box
69-30500 Lodwar. Email:procurementadmin@tuc.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 180 days from the date
of opening of tenders.
6. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents on the Turkana
University website or PPIP portal or during office hours [0800 to 1700 Hours at the address given below.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender Security of Kenya shillings three hundred thousand from a reputable bank.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes (original and copy) marked with tender name and
reference number must be delivered to the address below on or before 10.00am EAT on Tuesday 31st October, 2023.
Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline date and time specified
later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at
the address below.
11. There will be a pre-tender site visit on 19th October 2023. Tenderers shall assemble at The Turkana University
College–Board room at 10.00 am.
12. Late tenders will be rejected.
