EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE PROVISION OF INTERNAL AUDIT WEEK TRAINING 2023

1. INTRODUCTION

Safaricom is a converged communication solutions provider committed to provide unparalleled customer experience to our customers and to internally fire up a culture of strong customer obsession. The Internal Audit Department wish to engage a firm that specializes in Internal Audit Training with relevant experience.

The Internal Audit Training week is aimed at creating an internal auditor of the future with abilities to audit a Technology company. The Internal Audit Division aims to elevate advisory support embedding controls by design in order to scale tech solutions by March 2024.

2. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

Safaricom is looking to engage an internal audit industry expert organization to upskill and retool our staff on matters internal audit that :-

ü  Defines and demonstrates understanding of Agile auditing

ü  Keeps up with latest Internal Audit trends

ü  Is ahead of the anticipated global IPPF standards changes

The assignment and the achievements expected include:

• Refresher on IPPF standards and changes expected.
• Auditing the internal audit activities best practices, stake holder management.
• Keep up and maintain the continuous professional development.
• Improve GRC environment at Safaricom

The Expression of interest (EOI) is intended to lead to identification and shortlisting of a reputable firm/s to conduct the internal Audit training week.

Safaricom is therefore soliciting the following documents from interested companies;

1. i)Expression of Interest letter duly dated signed and stamped.
2. ii)A proposal clearly showing the following: –

ü  Current list of clients’ companies where internal audit training have been conducted

ü  Indicate success stories of training to a world class internal audit team

ü  Reporting; Please include sample training material that are shared with clients.

ü  Provide affiliation to a relevant body, locally or international.

ü  Indicate if based within Kenya. If not locally based, detail how you intend to conduct the assignment

ü  Indicate capabilities for delivery of the training

ü  Indicate the proposed action plans on how you will deliver post learning support

ü  Indicate ability and capability to deliver the training physically.
