PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MICROWAVE SHEDS, SUPPLY, DELIVERY INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF WASTE TREATMENT

TENDER NUMBER: KE-MoH-05-2023/2024-CW-RFB,

1. The Ministry of Health has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Waste Treatment
Equipments and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the Contract for the above
Waste Treatment Equipments.
2. The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for proposed construction of microwave
sheds, supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of waste treatment equipment – Microwave Type in
Mama Lucy Kibaki, Langa langa, Gatundu, Msambweni, Tigoni and Kangundo Hospitals
3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified
in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers July 2016, updated August 2018 and November
2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement
Regulations.
4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Health Procurement Office – Afya
house -Cathedral Road-Nairobi and inspect the bidding document during office hours. 0900 to 1700 hours at
the address given below or be sought through email address procurement@health.go.ke
5. The bidding document in English can be downloaded from the Ministry’s website www.health.go.ke or Public
Procurement Information Portal: www.tenders.go.ke, free of charge. Eligible Tenderers downloading the
Tender document MUST forward their company’s details to procurement@health.go.ke so that any addendum/
clarifications can be sent to their email address.
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 30th November, 2023 11:00 am Kenyan Time and
deposited on the tender Box Located on the 1st Floor of Ministry of Health Headquarters-Afya House.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately
after closing in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at
the GTZ Boardroom.
7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kshs.2,000,000 (Kenya Shillings Two Million Only) and
MUST be from a Reputable Bank or from a Public Procurement and Regulatory Authority (PPRA) approved
list of Insurance Companies and shall be valid for One Hundred and Fifty (150) days from the tender opening
date.
