Ministry of Health invites sealed bids from eligible contractors for the proposed upgrading of Kigumo Sub- county hospital in Muranga County –Main works with domestic sub-contractors

The mandatory requirements for the proposed tender are as follows:

1. a)Certificate of Company Incorporation/Firm Registration
2. b)Current Category of Registration with NCA category 3 and above (building works and specialist works) and valid annual practicing license
3. c)Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
4. d)Must provide recent copy of CR12
5. e)Main Contractor must team up with Domestic Sub-Contractors registered by NCA as Listed below:

• Electrical Services works NCA 5 and above
• Mechanical Services works, NCA 3 and above

1. The Domestic Sub-contractor must comply with Specialist Works specifications as per domestic Sub-Contractors preliminary and technical criteria in each subcontractor’s works section
2. A signed agreement between the contractor and their domestic sub-contractors they propose to engage and who must meet the qualifications stated in the specialist works documents.
3. Provision of a tender Security of Kenya shillings 2,000,000 from a reputable bank or insurance company approved by PPRA and that valid for 150days from the date of tender opening.

Interested eligible contractors may obtain Tender Documents upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of KES 1000/= in cash or Bankers Cheque in favor of the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Health at the cash office situated at Afya House, 2nd Floor; Cathedral road, Nairobi on normal working days between 9.00am and 3.00.p.m. The tender document

may also be downloaded free of charge from the Ministry’s website: www.health.go.ke. Contractors who download the tender document are requested to inform the Ministry and fully provide their contact details. This will be used in the event of a need to communicate to all the interested contractors. Any additional information, addendums or clarifications in respect to this tender will only be available in the website

Completed serialized/paginated tender documents in plain sealed envelopes and duly marked tender number must be delivered to the address below or deposited in the Tender Box on 1st Floor Afya House, Cathedral road, Nairobi on or before 10.00 am on 14th October 2020. Tenders will be publicly opened in the GTZ Boardroom in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 14th October 2020 Late bids will be returned unopened.

Prices quoted must be net inclusive of VAT and all Government Taxes and must remain valid for one hundred twenty (120) days from the opening date of the tender.
