REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT

The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) for a Project establishing the East Africa’s Centre of Excellence in Nephrology and Urology Sciences called the East African Kidney Institute (EAKI). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under consultancy services.

In light of the above function, the Ministry of Health intends to engage an individual consultant for the following assignment:

The services to be provided under this consultancy will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:

1.             Develop a Regional integration strategic plan and implementation guide on higher medical education and research
2.             Develop a policy and operational guideline to guide and facilitate enrolment of students from EAC member states

      iii.            Review the existing draft labor market policy assessment tools with aim of improving and adapt­ing them for use to produce a regional labor market policy and supporting operational arrange­ments to enhance regional integration in skilled labor market.

The Ministry of Health, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.).

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations”, dated October 2015“ which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.

Complete Expression of Interest documents in plain sealed envelopes with consultancy reference num­ber and name clearly marked on top should be placed in the tender box at the Ministry of Health, Head­quarters on 2nd floor by Tuesday, 13th October, 2020 at 10.00 am local time addressed to:
