CONSULTANT FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY TO ADVISE THE KENYAN OFFICE OF THE CLIMATE ENVOY
Opportunity
GIZ is seeking an individual renewable energy sector consultant to work closely with the Kenyan Office of the Climate Envoy in the follow-up of the Africa Climate Summit (ACS) and Conference of the Parties (COP) 28 and position Kenya within the “Accelerated Partnership for Renewables in Africa” (APRA) Initiative and at COP 29. I he consultancy will focus on the following:
- Assessing the current renewable energy landscape
- Mapping bankable projects including renewable energy, green manufacturing, green hydrogen and others
- Identifying investment incentives for low carbon opportunities
- Mobilisation of inclusive green investment flows
- Engagement of strategic stakeholder:, and investors to .attract industries and businesses
- High-level roadmap for Kenya’s 100GW target
- Financial mechanisms and business models
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants must submit their KRA PIN certificates and Tax Compliance Certificates where relevant.
- Applicants must hold a valid Kenyan work permit – evidenced through submission of the proper identification documents.
- Evidence of at least 3 similar previous projects

An email response will provide the relevant tender documents with further information on 3.04.2024 – thereafter no documents will be shared.
