PROCUREMENT OF SPECIMEN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FROM VARIOUS HEALTH FACILITIES TO REFERRAL LABS
The Ministry of Health in Kenya, with support from the Global Fund continually strives to improve laboratory systems in Kenya in order to optimize services in HIV, TB and malaria programs. Delivery of timely quality laboratory services is a key component of devolved health functions. The Ministry of Health in collaboration with Amref Health Africa in Kenya with support from the Global Fund plans to increase timely quality diagnostics in laboratory services in various health facilities for a period of 7 months.
In the spirit of achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC) the collaboration intends to support integrated specimen referral system aimed at increasing coverage, uptake and access to diagnostics, thus reducing catastrophic costs by referring the samples rather than patients.
Amref Health Africa in Kenya invites sealed tenders from eligible bidders such as Community Based organizations (CBO’s), Non-Governmental organizations (NGO’s) and Courier companies as follows:-

Interested eligible bidders may download tender documents from Amref Health Africa website at: http://amref.org/ways-to-give/tenders/ and pay a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 per Lot. The payment should be made through the Bank account as detailed below: Kenya Commercial Bank, Kipande House Branch, Account No: 1111429243 OR National Bank of Kenya, Wilson Branch, Account No: 01020058235400.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of 2 percent of the tender price in in the currency specified in the tender document in the form of a bank guarantee from a reputable bank for each LOT (bid bonds from insurance companies will NOT be accepted) and must be delivered with the completed Tender Documents.
Completed Tender Documents and the original banking slip are to be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope(s) clearly marked with the tender name, tender reference and should be addressed and delivered/posted to the following address:-

Or be deposited at the Amref Health Africa-KCO Tender Box at the Main Reception so as to be received on or before 5th November, 2020 at 12.00 noon. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late tenders will be rejected.
Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the candidates, representatives or Bidders who choose to attend at Amref Health Africa in the Large Lecture Room.
Amref Health Africa reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and is not bound to give reasons for its decision.
