FOR LAST MILE ENTREPRENEURS (LMES) AND TECHNICIANS BASED IN LAKE VICTORIA AND WESTERN ENDEV CLUSTERS SELLING SOLAR PU SOLUTIONS AND ELECTRIC COOKING APPLIANCES OPPORTUNITY
Energising Development Kenya Programme (EnDev Kenya), implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit [GIZ] is inviting electric cooking and solar LMEs and technicians/artisans through this Call for Expressions of Interest [Eol], to be supported in enhancing market development and access of good quality solar solutions for productive use (Solar for PU) and electric cooking appliances.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
This opportunity targets Kenyan based informal enterprises, LMEs and technicians/ artisans, experienced in promoting and selling solar PU technologies and/or higher tier cooking appliances and have a track record reporting to EnDev or related projects in Kenya in the counties highlighted below:

- Bidders must have the capacity to collect and report data on their sales and customers to ensure verification of every sale by a third party.
- Bidders must have at least one employee (can be the individual LME/oneself)
- At least 1 reference project of 1000 Euros
Bidders must provide the following statutory documents:
- a)For enterprises, please attach to your application the documents below:
- Trading license/business permit
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
- Annual turnover of 1000 Euros
- b)For individual LMEs, please attach to your application the documents below:
- KRA PIN Certificate
- National Identity Card
- c)For sole proprietors, please attach to your application the following documents below:
- Kenya Revenue Authority PIN Certificate
- Certificate of Registration
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
- Annual turnover of 1000 Euros
ELIGIBLE TECHNOLOGIES
- Solar for Productive Use solutions [e.g., barber kits, entertainment kits, phone charging kits, solar pumping, solar powered incubation/hatchery etc.}, thermal solutions (e.g., solar drying, solar water heating} and for social institutions (public schools and health centres}
- Energy efficient electric cooking appliances i.e. electric pressure cookers, electric air fryers, 2-in-l Pressure Cooker Air Fryer Combos, Hotplates and Induction cookstoves
