TENDER  INVITATION NOTICE

The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government (State Department for Correctional Services) invites interested and eligible tenderers to participate in the following Open National Tender;

Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect Bidding documents from the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government (State Department for Correctional Services) Supply Chain Management Office, Teleposta Towers 13th Floor, upon payment of Non Refundable fee of KES. 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque payable to Principal Secretary. Payments should be made to the cash office, 3rd Floor, Teleposta Towers.

Bidders may access and download the same documents free of charge from the Ministry’s website www.coordination.go.ke or, from IFMIS Kenya Supplier’s Portal: www.suppliers.treasurey.go.ke and or www.mygov.go.ke.

Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below as a minimum, supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation.

  1. Proof of works of similar magnitude and complexity undertaken in the last three years.
  2. The Bid Bond must be in form of Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank or insurance company approved by PPRA and shall remain valid for thirty days (30) days after expiry of tender validity.
  3. Adequate equipment and key personnel for the specified types of works.
  4. Sound financial standing and /or adequate access to bank credit line equal to at least 10% of their Tender Sum.
  5. Litigation History of the Company (both court and arbitration cases).
  6. Duly filled, Signed Confidential Business Questionnaire.
  7. Duly filled, Signed and stumped form of tender.
  8. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
  9. An undertaking in the form of a letter signed by the bidder stating that the firm will comply with the statutory requirements on Gender, Youth and Persons with Disabilities.
  10. Prices quoted must be inclusive of VAT where applicable and shall remain valid for a period of 150 days after bid opening.

Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with tender reference number and be deposited in the Tender Box on 13th Floor at Teleposta Tower Nairobi and should be addressed to:

So as to be received on or before 3rd March 2020, at 10.00am local time. Bulky documents that cannot fit in the ten- der box may be delivered on 13th floor, Supply Chain Management Office (within the Bid submission time and date) and indicated on the outer envelope ‘Do Not Open Before 3rd March 2020, at 10.00am local time’.

Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the Candidates or their representatives who choose to attend at the boardroom located on 13th floor Teleposta Tower Nairobi.

Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
