- The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Green and Resilient
Expansion of Energy (GREEN) Program Phase 2 Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under
the Contract for Design, procurement, installation and commissioning of dynamic reactive power compensation devices at
Suswa and Rabai Substations. - The Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Ltd. now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the design, supply,
installation and commissioning of STATCOMs and shunt devices on the KETRACO Network at Suswa and Rabai
Substations in 2No. Lots (Lot 1 – Suswa 400/220 kV Substation & Lot 2 – Rabai 220/132 kV Substation). - Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in
the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated September 2023 (5th Edition) (“Procurement
