INVITATION TO TENDER
THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF LIBRARY BROCK FRAMED STRUCTURE AND ASSOCIATED WALLING AT THARAKA UNIVERSITY

1. Tharaka University invites sealed tenders from eligible construction companies registeredwiththeNational Construction Authority (NCA) in Category NCA 6, 7 or 8 for Building Worksfortheproposed construction of library block framed structure and associated walling at TharakaUniversity.

1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method [Open Tender] using a standardizedtenderdocument. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.

2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documentsduringoffice hours between 8.00am and 5.00pm Kenyan Time, Monday to Friday except lunchtimebetween1.00pm to 2.00pm and on public holidays at the address given below.

3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment ofanonrefundable fee of (KSH.1000 ) in Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given below. Tender documentsmaybe obtained electronically from the Website(www.tharaka.ac.ke) or public procurement informationportal’swebsitehttps://tenders.go.ke free of charge.

4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded from website (www.tharaka.ac.ke) or public procurementinformation portal’s website https://tenders.go.ke free of charge.

5. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars immediatelytoprocurement@tharaka.ac.ke, 0714953468 to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.

6. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remainvalidfor120days from the date of opening of tenders.

7. All Tenders must be accompanied by an original tender security of Kshs. 1,382,000.00informofabank/insurance guarantee from either commercial banks or insurance companies approvedbyPPRA valid for 150 days from date of tender opening.

8. Bidders must sequentially number/paginate/serialize the tender document in all pages includingall attachments in the form of 1, 2, 3……

9. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 2
   RD MAY, 2025 AT12:00NoonKenyan time. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.

10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadlinedateandtime specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designatedrepresentatives who choose to attend at the address below.

11. There shall be a mandatory pre-tender site visit at Tharaka University Main Campus siteon 24 th April 2025 from 10.00am.
