CONSULTANCY TO DEVELOP CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) POLICY AND FRAMEWORK FOR TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING (TVET) TRAINERS
The Ministry of Education, State Department of Vocational and Technical Training has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Support to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) for relevant skills development project (TVET phase II project), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount of this loan to payments under the contract for a consulting firms to develop Continuous Professional Development Policy and Framework for TVET trainers under the project.
The services included under this project are:
- a)To review existing CPD programs in Kenya
- b)To conduct benchmarking of CPD in the context of TVET trainers
- c)To review professional status of TVET trainers in Kenya
- d)Develop a CPD Policy and Framework for TVET trainers
- e)Validate the CPD Policy and Framework with relevant stakeholders
- f)Develop implementation strategy for the CPD Policy and Framework
- g)Develop a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) framework for CPD implementation
The Ministry of Education, State Department for Vocational and Technical Training now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the above constancy service.
Interested consulting firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services
(brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consulting firms may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants” 2008 (Revised July, 2012), which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
