- The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQIP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Brailling, Printing and Distribution of Class 7, 8 and Forms 1-4 Textbooks for Learners with Special Needs
- The Ministry of Education, State Department of Early Learning and Basic Education through Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Brailling, Printing and Distribution of Class 7, 8 and Forms 1-4 Textbooks for Learners with Special Needs as summarized in the table below:

- Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid
- Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 1,2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), Procurement Office or seqip@kicd.ac.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours weekdays 0900 to 1600 hours at the address given below
- The bidding document in English may be obtained by interested Bidders by downloading it free of charge at www.kicd.ac.ke Bidders who intend to submit a bid are encouraged to immediately send their email addresses to seqip@kicd.ac.ke for purpose of receiving clarification or addenda.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10.00 am EAT on 28th June 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 10.00 am EAT on 28th June 2021.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration.
