GIZ TENDER JANUARY 2025
INVITATION TO TENDER |
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS:GREEN HYDROGEN AND PTX TRAINING FOR TRAINER OF TRAINEES (TOT’S / MASTER TRAINERS)
The Developing the Foundations for a Green Hydrogen Economy in Kenya (GH2 Foundations) Project, through its capacity-building sphere, aims to strengthen the capacities of Kenyan higher learning institutions and vocational education and training institutions in the field of Green Hydrogen (GH2) and Power-to-X (PtX). This sphere focuses on training TVET and higher learning institutions in applications such as fertilizers, green steel, and sustainable fuels (e-fuels), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP).
The objective of the project is to equip Kenya with essential human resources by developing adequate capacity required for sustainable economic development with green hydrogen and its derivatives.
To achieve this, the training program developed by GH2F and the International PtX Hub will be structured in a progressive cycle as follows:
- i)A basic power to X training (3 days) that dives into the foundations of green hydrogen with a global perspective,
- ii)Three different add-on power to X training modules which include downstream PtX use cases on fertilisers, green steel and e-fuels
iii) A Training of Trainers (ToT) and industry hands-on experience, combining contents of the basic training and the sector-specific add-ons.
In this regard, GIZ under the auspices of the Green Hydrogen Foundations (GH2F) project invites interested qualified lecturers and vocational training staff from universities and TVET to apply for participation in a comprehensive Basic Power- to-X Training. The objective of this call is to establish a qualified pool of trainers to deliver green hydrogen and Power-to-X training programs. Selected trainers will also support the development of country- and sector-specific PtX curricula.
