CALL FOR BIDS FOR CONSULTANTS IN CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT FOR WE4D PARTNERS AND STAFF
ON SEXUAL HARASSMENT, INCLUDING THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE AND TRAINING MANUAL,

The Deutsche Gesellschaft far Internationale Zusammenarbeit [GIZ] GmbH, is a federal-owned international cooperation enterprise that implements German development policy objectives around the world. Under the Employment Promotion for Women for the Green Transformation in Africa (WE4D) Kenya seeks Consultants specializing in Gender and Sexual Harassment Research, Instructional Design, and Training as service providers to support one of its projects; “Capacity Development for WE4D Partners and Staff on Sexual Harassment, Including the Development of an Illustrated Guide and Training Manual ” in the provision of services relating to:

  1. i)Material Review and Data Collection: This involves reviewing the current sexual harassment materials available within GIZ Kenya and collecting essential data related to sexual harassment specifically in the green and greening sectors.
  2. ii)Gender-Specific Training and Resource Development: The emphasis lies in crafting sexual harassment training manuals and materials tailored to address the distinct gender-related requirements identified within the green and greening sectors.

iii)   Training and Capacity Building: Utilizing the developed materials, conduct engaging and informative training sessions for WE4D partners, staff, and project beneficiaries. The primary goal is to enhance awareness and understanding of sexual harassment issues. –

  1. iv)Assessment and Policy Development: This involves conducting a rapid assessment to pinpoint gender equality gaps and barriers within WE4D partner companies and their value chains. Subsequently, comprehensive policies, standards, and guidelines will be developed to foster gender equality and tackle these challenges effectively. A robust monitoring and evaluation system will also be established to track progress towards achieving gender equality objectives.

Upon finalization of the proposals, kindly submit your signed and stamped financial and technical proposals in two separate envelopes, enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE clearly marked TENDER NO. 83468004
