CALL FOR OFFERS FOR INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT FOR IMPROVED STOVES ASSOCIATION OF KENYA (ISAK]
Background
The project “Promotion of Climate-Friendly Cooking: Kenya and Senegal” [GCF/EnDev] is implemented by GIZ, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and other implementing partners. The project objective is to accelerate the growth of the Improved Cookstoves [ICS] sector with an irreversible market transformation that will significantly increase the level of ICS production and sales, thereby enabling Kenya to significantly advance the achievement of the Nationally Determined Contributions [NDCs],
The GCF project is contributing to the creation of an enabling environment for the growth of the ICS sector in Kenya. One of the ways is by enhancing the capacity of sector associations such as the Improved Stoves Association of Kenya [ISAK] via some more focused institutional capacity building support.
It is against this background that the GCF project is seeking the services of a consultant to support ISAK work towards enhancing its capacity to deliver on its mandate in the cooking sub-sector. At the core of this support is the need to ensure that ISAK emerges as a self-sustaining entity that is providing value to its customers and to the sub-sector at large.
