TO MANAGE ROADSHOW TRUCKS AND IMPLEMENT ROADSHOW MARKETING CAMPAIGNS FOR PROMOTION OF CLIMATE-FRIENDLY COOKING IN KENYA

Background

The project “Promotion of Climate-Friendly Cooking: Kenya and Senegal” (GCF/EnDev) is implemented by GIZ, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum and other implementing partners. The project objective is to accelerate the growth of the Improved Cook stoves (ICS) sector with an irreversible market transformation that will significantly increase the level of ICS production and sales, thereby enabling Kenya to significantly advance the achievement of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

The project supports ICS market development focusing on supply side (professionalization, mechanization, quality assurance and business development support, access to finance and distribution channels), demand side (awareness creation and behavioral change communication/”campaigns) and facilitating a supportive enabling environment.

The project has procured roadshow trucks for marketing campaign activities to create awareness and stimulate demand of ICS at the community leading to an increase in adoption of ICS by households. In this regard, GIZ is seeking service providers to manage the trucks and conduct roadshow marketing campaign on behalf of the GCF project within selected counties in Kenya.

Call for bids from potential firms/companies.

GIZ is calling suitable firms/companies to tender their bids to manage the trucks and conduct roadshow marketing campaigns. The roadshows will be conducted in 3 lots i.e.

Lot 1: Central and Lower Eastern dusters

Lot 2: Lake Victoria cluster

Lot 3: Western duster

In this regards, GIZ is seeking for 3 service providers (one for each Lot) to provide the services within selected counties in the clusters. The counties include but not limited to:

Cluster Counties
Lot 1: Central Lower Eastern Muranga. Kirinyaga. Nyandarua, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Nyeri, Laikipia, Nakuru, Kiambu counties
Machakos ,Kajiado, Makueni, Narok, Taita Taveta, Kwale, Kilifi counties
Lot 2: Lake Victoria Kisumu, Siaya, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Kericho, Bomet and Nyamira counties
Lot 3: Western Busia, Kakamega, Bungoma, Vihiga, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Nandi, Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo counties

Interested companies must provide verifiable proof of qualifications and experience. The firm/company is requested to review the indicated qualifications in Terms of Reference (ToRs).

How to apply

Interested service providers should send a blank email with tender reference in the subject line to KE_lnquiry@giz.de between 25.07.2023 to 30.07.2023

Bidders are expected to respond to the call by selecting a maximum of 2 lots. If bidding for more than 1 lot, bidders should bid for each lot separate ,, (send 2 blank emails with tender reference for each Lot respectively).

An email response will provide the relevant tender documents with further information by 31.07.2023, thereafter no documents will be shared.

In case of any queries pertaining to tender bidders should seek clarification through KE_lnquiry@giz.de between 01.08.2023 . Response will be shared to all latest 08.08.2023.

Upon finalization of the proposals, submit your signed and stamped financial and technical proposals in two separate envelopes, enclosed in a SEALED ENVELOPE clearly marked TENDER NO. of the selected Lot.
