BIO-DIGESTER PLANTS OF THE ABC RBR FACILITY
OPPORTUNITY
The African Biodigester Component [ABC] in Kenya, an EnDev Associated Project, aims to support the growth and sustainability of a commercial biodigester sector in Kenya hence enhancing market development and access of good quality small scale biodigesters [0 to 50 m3] for domestic and productive use. The project aims to have 75% of biodigesters commissioned and verified during project term to have a double compost pit to increase farm productivity. ABC is therefore inviting companies through this Public Tender in Kenya to participate in the installation of double compost pits on verified plants of the RBR facility. This will be implemented through a Result Based Reimbursement facility.
TARGET COMPANIES
This opportunity targets Kenyan registered companies operating in a market-based approach. The company should be operating in Agricultural or biodigester market ecosystem with prior experience in bioslurry and bioslurry enriched compost utilization, Organic fertilizer valorization and composting.
AVAILABLE LOTS
There are two lots to which interested companies can bid for. A company can only bid to one lot in the below category:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Bidders must have existing capacity [knowledge, structures and staff) to deliver the number of installations of double compost pit(s) on verified biodigesters that currently do not have compost pit(s) and/or bioslurry pit[s). Bidders must have the capacity to collect and report data on their installations and customers to ensure verification of compost pit(s) per biodigester by a third party. Selected companies will be trained on the data collection tool by GIZ.
Bidding companies must provide the following statutory documents:
- Certificate of Incorporation
- CR12 Certificate
- Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
- Audited financial statements for the last 3 years

An email response will provide the relevant tender documents with further information on 14.10.2024, thereafter no documents will be shared.
