  1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN LIVESTOCK MARKETS AT KHOROF HARAR TOWN IN WAJIR EAST AND D/IF TOWN IN WAJIR SOUTH
  2. The County Government of Wajir – now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MODERN LIVESTOCK MARKETS AS INDICATED ABOVE
  3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Wajir County website http://www.wajir.go.ke/ free of charge but will be required to register with supplychain@wajir.go.ke for purpose of any addendum and clarification.
  4. A MANDATORY Pre-Tender Site Visit shall be conducted by the employer on the respective dates indicated in the bidding documents. Registration will take place between 10.00am – 10.30am at the respective town centres, after which the team will proceed to the proposed market sites. Due to the COV/D 19 pandemic, please ensure you adhere to the Ministry of Health Guidelines.
  5. AH Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security as indicated above from a reputable Commercial bank.
  6. Bids must be delivered to the address below and submitted on or before WEDNESDAY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2021 at 10.00a.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend.
  7. Completed tender documents (Original and a copy) are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with tender reference numbers indicated above and be deposited in the Tender Box situated at ground floor Wajir County headquarters, and be addressed to:
