SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project [KCSAP] and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for:
2. i)Construction of Irienyi Kokua Water Pan Project Water Project Mghange Mwanda Ward, in Wundanyi Sub County.
3. ii)Construction of Mwambiti Water Pan Project Sagalla Ward, Voi Sub County.
4. The County Government of Taita-Taveta – now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for:
5. i)Construction of Irienyi Kokua Water Pan Project Water Project Mghange Mwanda Ward, in Wundanyi Sub County.
6. ii)Construction of Mwambiti Water Pan Project Sagalla Ward, Voi Sub County.
7. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding [NCB] procurement using a Request for Bids [RFB] as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers”, dated January 2011 [revised July 2014] and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please Refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
8. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Taita Taveta County Website, www.taitataveta.go.ke , www.tenders.go.ke  and also from the Director; Supply Chain Management Services Office located at the Taita Taveta County Headquarters, Mwatate during normal working hours and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e., 8.00 am to 5.00 pm at the address given below.
9. The bidding document in English language may be obtained by interested bidders from the Taita Taveta County Website www.taitataveta. go.ke, www.tenders.go.ke free of charge.
10. [a]A MANDATORY Pre-Tender Site Visit for Irieyi Kokua Water Pan shall be conducted by the Project site Mwanda Mghange ward, Wundanyi Sub County On 11^th  March, 2022 at 11.00 am. Interested bidders will gather at The Department of Agriculture and Irrigation Offices at Wundanyi at 10.00 am and then proceed to the site. Bidders will make arrangement for their own transport.

[b] A MANDATORY Pre-Tender Site Visit for Mwambiti Water Pan shall be conducted by the Project site Sagalla ward, Voi sub County On 14th March, 2022 at 11.00 am. Interested bidders will gather at The Department of Agriculture and Irrigation Offices at Voi at 10.00 am and then proceed to the site. Bidders will make arrangement for their own transport.

7. All Bids must be accompanied1 by a Bid security amounting to
8. i) 420,000/= [Four Hundred and  Twenty Thousand Kenya Shillings]-lrienyi Kokua water Pan Project ]
9. ii) 450,000/= [Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Kenya Shillings]-Mwambiti Water Pan Project]

N/B: Only from a reputable Commercial bank.

8. Bids must be delivered to the address below and submitted on or before 30^th  March, 2022 at 11.00a.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend immediately after closing time.
9. Clarifications and addendum will be uploaded on County Government of Taita Taveta Website www.taitataveta.go.ke.
10. Completed tender documents [Original and two copies] are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with tender reference number KE-TAITA TAVETA C0UNTY-274575-CW-RFB for Irienyi Kokua water pan project or KE-TAITA TAVETA C0UNTY-274578-CW-RFB for Mwambiti Water Pan Project and be deposited in the Tender Box at Taita Taveta County Headquarters, Treasury Building Reception Taita Taveta Mwatate and be addressed to:
