This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in

United Nations Development Business (UNDB) online on 18th December 2018.

The Government of Kenya has received a loan from African Development Bank to finance the Green Zones Development Support Project-Phase II and intends to apply part of the proceeds for construc- tion of one (1) Community Resource Centre at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters in Karura,

Kenya Forest Service now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction of one (1) Commu- nity Resource Centre at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters in Karura,

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding docu- ments at the Supply Chain Management Department at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters, Karura, off-Kiambu Road, O. Box 30513-00100 Nairobi, Kenya and Telephone 020-2397660/020-8023042 during the office hours from 08:00am to 05:00pm (East African Time) on weekdays i.e. Monday to Friday excluding lunch hour (1300 – 1400 hrs) and public holidays.

Complete set of bidding documents may be obtained by interested bidders upon payment of non-re- fundable fee of Kshs 1000 (Kenya shillings One Thousand only) in cash or bankers’ cheque payable to the Director, Kenya Forest Service. The document can also be downloaded from Kenya Forest Service website kenyaforestservice.org or from the public procurement portal tenders.go.ke free of charge. Those who download the tender document and intend to submit a bid are required to submit their particulars to the Supply Chain Management Department’s Office for records and for receiving any further tender clarification and/or addendums.

Completed Bid Documents should be enclosed in plain sealed envelope, marked with the Tender Number and Name and be deposited in the Tender Box at Kenya Forest Service Headquarters, reception area on or before 11:00am East African Time on Thursday 18th August 2022 and must be accompanied by a Bid security of Kes 1,600,000.00 in the form of Bank Guarantee with a bid validity period of 120 days from submission

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representative who choose to attend at 05 am East African Time on Thursday 18th August 2022 at the Kenya Forest Service Headquarters Boardroom located in Karura off Kiambu road.
