CONSTRUCTION OF ROADS/FOOTPATHS & DRAINAGE SYSTEM, WATER SUPPLY & SANITATION SYSTEM AND PUBLIC LIGHTING INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS IN SELECTED INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS OF MJINI IN BUNGOMA TOWN

COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF BUNGOMA TENDER JANUARY 2024 

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank and Agence Francaise de Development towards the cost of the Second Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP 2), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for construction of roads/footpaths & drainage system, water supply & sanitation system and public lighting infrastructure works in selected informal settlements of Mjini in Bungoma town and Landi Matope in Chwele town; both within Bungoma County

Under this project, the Contractor will be expected to perform and deliver construction of the listed works in accordance with the designs including technical specifications included to the tender documents.

1. The County Government off Bungoma now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of roads/footpaths & drainage system, water supply & sanitation system and public lighting infrastructure works In selected informal settlements of mjini in Bungoma town and Landi Matope in Chwele town; both within Bungoma County. Under I his project, the Contractor will be expected to perform and deliver construction of the listed works in accordance with the designs including technical specifications included to the tender documents. The construction period is 12 Months.
2. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive procurement using a Request for Bids [RFB] as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 and revised in January 2017, October 2017, December 2019 and March 2021 (“(“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Head of Supply Chain Management, County Government of Bungoma, e-mail supplychain@bungoma.go.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the address given below; Bungoma Municipal Building-Office of The Governor
4. The bidding document is in English may be downloaded for free at www.bungoma.go.ke or PPIP portal www.tenders.go.ke.
5. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Kenya Shillings, Seven Million, Five Hundred Thousand Only [KES. 7,500,000.00]
6. Completed bid documents are to be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope marked with the bid name and number and be deposited in the tender box Located at the Supply Chain Management Office Headquarters on or before Friday 22^nd  January 2024 at 12.00 noon. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders, designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below: Ground Floor, Bungoma Municipal Building [Auditorium] on Friday 22^nd January 2024 at 12.30 Noon.
7. The project will also be subject to the World Bank’s Anti-Corruption Guidelines, dated July/, 2016, Procurement Regulations, and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration
