TENDER NOTICE

CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROPOSED PERIMETER WALL AND GATE HOUSE 

Kenya Institute of Mass Communication [KIMC] which is oldest middle level state media training Institution in Kenya established in 1961 is a State Corporation established through Legal Notice No.197 of 2011 [amended]. The Institute offers training at Post graduate, Diploma and Certificate Levels in Communication and Cinematic Arts.

The Institute hereby invites bids from eligible construction companies for the construction of the proposed perimeter Wall and Gate from Small and Medium enterprises appropriately registered under AGPO as detailed herein:

  1. Bidders are advised to download the long Advertisement and Detailed Tender document from the Institutes website: www.kimc.ac.ke and PPIP Portal; www.tenders.go.ke with effect from 13th April, 2022.
  2. Tendererswhodownloadthetenderdocumentmustforwardtneirparticularsimmediatelyto: procurement@kimc.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum if any.
  3. The Pre tender site visit shall be MANDATORY and bidders are advised to visit the project site on the date and time indicated above before bidding and have the certificate of bidders visit to site signed by KIMC.
  4. Completed tender documents should be enclosed in the plain sealed envelopes, clearly marked with tender Name, Tender Number, and deposited in the tender box located on the entrance to Main Administration Block at KIMC, located on Uholo Road, Nairobi South Off Mombasa Road or be addressed and posted to the address indicated below on or before the dates indicated above at 10.30Am.
  5. Opening of the bids will take place immediately thereafter on 28th  May, 2022 at the Institute’s Ground floor STO Boardroom in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend.
  6. Bids not received at the submission venue by the closing date and time will not be accepted for opening and will be rejected and returned unopened.
  7. Bidders may obtain further information from the Procurement Unit of KIMC at the address below during working hours from 9.00 to 16.00 Hours local time Monday to Friday.
