STATE DEPARTMENT FOR CROP DEVELOPMENT

SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION AND VALUE ADDITION PROJECT (SIVAP)

CONSTRUCTION WORKS IN MACHAKOS, MAKUENI, MURANGA, THARAKA NITHI, MERU,

NYERI AND KITUI COUNTIES.

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online AfDB811-11/15 of 19^th  November, 2015 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.
2. The Government of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Small-Scale Irrigation and Value Addition Project (SIVAP). It is intended that part of the Proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Construction Works in Machakos. Makueni, Mem, Nyeri. Muranga. Tharaka Nithi and Kitui Counties.
3. The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the above works as below;

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Offke of the Project Coordinator. Small-scale Irrigation and Value Addition Project (SIVAP). Hill Plaza 9^th  Floor. Ngong Road P.O. Box 30028 00100 Nairobi.
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be down loaded from the Ministry’s web site www.kllkmo.go.ke
6. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Works.
7. Bids should be clearly marked ‘Construction of…………In…………..         County. Tender No. MOALD/SIVAP/………….2023-2024 and deposited at State Department for Crop Development Tender Box. situated at the Ground Floor, Kilimo House. Cathedral Road or posted to:

and should be received on or before Tuesday 5^th  September, 2023 at 11.00 am local time and MUST be accompa­nied by a bid guarantee as indicated in the table above.

Bulky bid documents that cannot fit in the tender box should be dropped at the Head: Supply Chain Management Office at Kilimo House, 4^th  Floor Room 4-2B.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11.00am on Tuesday 5^th  September, 2023 at the Conference Room Kilimo House 7^th  Floor.
