OXFAM IN AFRICA TENDER APRIL 2025
TENDER ADVERT |
CONSULTANCY FOR CONVERSION OF PROJECT NARRATIVE REPORTS INTO A VISUAL/ILLUSTRATION REPORT
Background
Oxfam in Africa (OiA) embodies the African philosophy of Ubuntu – “I am because we are” – with deep purpose and conviction. This ethos reflects our commitment to community, solidarity, and the collective wellbeing of both current and future generations. Oxfam works as a unified platform that brings together all its stakeholders across the continent, including Country Offices, Regional Clusters, and affiliates like Oxfam South Africa.
Our approach is rooted in feminist values and a commitment to decolonising our ways of working, ensuring we stand in solidarity with African people and institutions for justice, equality, and lasting change. Guided by these values, Oxfam’s Africa Platform fosters collaboration and coherence to amplify our impact.
Project narrative reports are a critical tool for documenting the progress, achievements, challenges, and lessons learned throughout a project’s lifecycle. These reports, while informative, can often be dense and text-heavy, limiting their accessibility. Visualizing these reports through illustrations, infographics, and simplified layouts will enhance comprehension, making them more engaging and accessible to a broader audience, including community members, policy actors, donors, and the general public.
Objective
The objective of this consultancy is to convert 2.6 years of narrative reports from a Conrad N. Hilton Foundation-funded project into a visually engaging and easily digestible format. This will enhance accessibility and understanding for a wider audience, including stakeholders, donors, and partners.

The consultant or service provider will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing the narrative reports: Extract key information, achievements, and impact stories.
- Designing an engaging visual report: Include illustrations, infographics, charts, and other data visualization tools to present the information.
- Alignment with branding: Ensure that the final visual report aligns with Oxfam’s branding guidelines and communication strategy.
- Formatting for both print and digital formats: Design the report to be suitable for various formats.
