- Government of Kenya (GOK) has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Second Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP2) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
- The consulting services (“the Services”) include (a) Review of existing GIS systems to identify gaps (b) Lead in designing the Geo-database (c) Coordinate Collection and collation of relevant information at different Government Departments and Counties (d) Coordinate and design tools for mapping and rapid assessment of the socioeconomic situation of each informal settlement/ slum including basic interventions, opportunities and detailed analysis, (e) Assist in development of a common schema for use by all Consultants engaged Mapping and development of a Geo- database. The assignment is expected to take Fifteen (15) months

- The Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure. Housing, Urban Development and Public Works, State Department for Housing and Urban Development (the Client) through its Project Implementation Team, now invites eligible Individual Consultant (‘Consultant’) to indicate his/her interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultant should provide information demonstrating that he/she has the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are according to the details and qualifications in the TOR.
- The Consultant will be selected in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, July 2016, updated August 2018 and November 2020) which can be found at the following website: www.worldbank.org/procurement.
- The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraph, 3.14,3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers”July 2016 updated August 2018 and November 2020 (” Procurement Regulations”) setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
- The Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultants Selection method set out in the Procurement Regulations.

- Eligible applications submitting their Expression of Interest accompanied with detailed CVs and copies of relevant documents and testimonials must be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked with contract reference number and title of the consultancy to the address below or dropped in the tender box located in Ardhi House 6th Floor Boardroom by Tuesday,4th January 2022
