Project Context:
CWS is seeking a Gender Expert to conduct a comprehensive gender analysis for a project in Ngurunit, Marsabit County. The analysis will focus on gender-based violence (GBV) and gender inequality in the region and will inform gender transformative strategies for project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a detailed gender analysis based on CWS policies and international standards.
- Assess gender-differentiated impacts and risks of the project.
- Develop a gender action plan, integrating gender mainstreaming into the project design.
- Identify local stakeholders and build partnerships to support gender equality initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in gender equality and gender mainstreaming.
- Experience with the Transforming Masculinities (TM) approach is preferred.
- Knowledge of gender issues in Marsabit County and the surrounding context.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English and Kiswahili.
