CONSULTANCY SERVICES ON ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMON USER FACILITY PROJECT AT KETEPA DEPOT, NAIROBI

1.0  Purpose of the Consultancy

Kenya Tea Packers Limited is a leading tea blending, packaging and marketing company with strong presence in Kenya and the region for household quality beverage brands. Fahari ya Kenya, Safari Pure, Ketepa Pride Tea Bags, Ketepa Pride Flavored tea bags and Maisha pure drinking water amongst others.

KETEPA is keen to engage a CONSULTANT to carry out a feasibility study on a “Greenfield Project” on a Common user facility to help them achieve their strategic objective. The consulting firm should have a rich background in business strategy, technical, finance and other relevant aspects to undertake the assignment to guide decision making on progression of the proposed project.

2.0  Specific Tasks

Consultant/Consulting firm will be expected to carry out the following-

1. i)Undertaking a feasibility study of the proposed project to determine its economic viability by specifically determining: –
2. a)All the requirements to establish total cost of the proposed project
3. b)Evaluation to determine the best appropriate site
4. c)Design and scope of the proposed project
5. d)Implementation timelines of the proposed project.
6. ii)Evaluate and recommend optimal project financing model

iii)   Recommend and advise on optimal business operating model

1. iv)Evaluate and advise whether to operate the facility as an EPZ or SEZ or otherwise.
2. v)Review and advise on applicable legal and statutory  framework and its implications on the proposed project
3. vi)Make any other relevant recommendation on the proposed projects]

3.0  Expected Deliverables – Feasibility Study Report comprehensively detailing output to the specific tasks above (i) to (iv)
