CONSULTANCY TO DEVELOP THE COUNTY ENERGY PLANS FOR ISIOLO, EMBU AND BUNGOMA
The GCF Project via its component on creating an enabling environment for the growth of the cooking sector in Kenya in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MoEP), is providing capacity building support to counties undertaking county energy planning with the ultimate aim of meeting the requirements of the Integrated National Energy Planning (INEP) framework. The key areas of the support include but are not limited to the following: Clean cooking; Least cost electrification; County energy resources assessment; Gender analysis; RE/Energy efficiency; Data analysis and geospatial planning; Sectoral nexus analysis; and Value chain and business model analysis
In this regard, GIZ under the auspices of the GCF project invites interested bidders to submit their bids free of charge, and without obligation to GIZ, to provide capacity building support to 3 counties (Isiolo, Embu and Bungoma) undertaking county energy planning. The consultancy will be awarded to a suitable firm that must be legally registered and operational in Kenya.
The bidding firm must demonstrate the following:
- i)A minimum average annual turnover of KES 9,000,000 for the last 3 financial years
- ii)Certificate of registration/incorporation in Kenya for the lead firm submitting the bid.
iii) Relevant experience of at least 3 similar assignments of at least KES 4,500,000 per assignment (in terms of type and magnitude] with references providing assignment details such as client, type of services, duration of implementation, budget & deliverables.
- iv)Demonstrate at least 5 employees in the last 3 years
